Some random parting thoughts

I've grown a bit reluctant to end my writing session with a forced feminization/sissy-oriented post, especially when I'm not sure of the next time I will get a chance to write.  While it's something that defines me a bit (hence the blog title and username) at the same time these things are often at the back of my mind when I sit down to write and I end up tossing them up as an afterthought.

So far my interactions with people in the blog community have been very positive.  While I didn't start this blog to connect with others I feel that connecting with others through comments has made the blogging experience meaningful to me.  I worry a bit that leaving the most recent post with that type of subject matter (in addition to the blog title and username) is probably pigeon-holing me a bit and preventing some potential connections since they see the top post and skip right over the rest of the blog even if I have written about something relevant to them in an earlier post.

I know I probably am coming off as self-conscious and insecure with this post, but those negative qualities are a part of me as well and I've kind of accepted them rather than trying to hide from them or deny them.

Actually, now that I have written this out I don't feel self-conscious about anything I'm writing on here and if people wish to avoid my blog because of some of my posts (or the blog title or username), that's fine too.  I should probably delete this but I'm going to post it anyways seeing as it was an accurate representation of my thoughts and feelings over the past 15 minutes or so.

I will add, a big Thank You to everyone who has interacted with me so far through comments or messages.

  1. I would be quite disappointed if you simply walked away. If it's just a matter of changing the blog's name and continuing your musings uder a new title, well that's fine. I understand your concern about the current blog title being off-putting for some, but in the end that's "their" problem, not yours.

On the other hand, since I discovered your blog, I've noticed that few people are commenting. This is puzzling, as your writing is excellent, your subjects are interesting and your insightful comments on other blogs should have led more readers to your site. Maybe a name change would help after all, though that's a rather sad commentary on the mindsets of those who would be turned off by your current title.

Please let me know if you'll be appearing under a different heading.

  2. Thank You, Lady Grey, your words mean a lot to me.

I have a feeling that my available writing time will be cut down on in the near future but I have no intention of completely walking away or creating a new blog without letting people who've commented hear know that I plan to do so.

I agree that from my cathartic writing standpoint that it is their problem if they take issue with the content/title/etc. but from an interaction standpoint it is my problem if I write things with the intent of helping others. All in all, I've decided to just steer the course as is and be thankful to the people who do take the time to read and comment.

I've spent a good deal of my life being judged by others on superficial grounds and I've always strongly valued those who were able to look beyond the surface and seek out the good qualities people may have. The internet, as a representation of human nature, tends to follow the same pattern.

    When you say this:
"Maybe a name change would help after all, though that's a rather sad commentary on the mindsets of those who would be turned off by your current title."

I do have some to say about it, but it will be the subject of my next blog posting. Thank you for the inspiration.

On a side note, You seem to have very strong mentor qualities. I'm willing to wager that you have probably doled out several textbooks worth of advice over the years in regards to the lifestyle. I hope the receivers of that advice are able to appreciate it as much as they should.
